Why in the world would you get into racing?............I'm asked this often from people that I have come into contact with
over of the years. I often give the simple quick reply "because i'm stupid" to avoid an hour long conversation about racing and
what it means to me and my two sons.

I will make an honest attempt to explain to the outsider of what racing means to us........ To most of us owners, drivers
and crew members out there... racing is a way of life, its as natural to us as eating lunch, although often times racing will eat
your lunch for you. We spend countless hours in preparation every week for approximately 30 to 40 laps worth of the highest
high you could ever imagine. I always tell people "it's in your blood - or it isn't"....no one in their 'right mind' could spend the
money you spend and dedicate their entire summer to a way of life like racing unless its in your blood.

It gets passed from generation to generation....My grandfather started the cycle in the 60's, I spent many years in some
form of racing or another but made an honest attempt to break the streak with my kids and encouraged both of them to play
the normal baseball, basketball or football in school.....but the monster eats and there is no denying the 'in your blood' theory.
Utt Motorsports was created in 2006 with our first quarter midget - today we field two 600 mini sprints, who knows what
tomorrow will bring but I'm sure the monster will be fed.
